Aries and Leo are four signs apart, a trine, and both are masculine fire signs, so Hellenistic astrologers count them as in easy contact. Aries is cardinal and Leo fixed. Mars rules Aries and the Sun rules Leo, so the signs share no ruler. The lords stand unevenly: the Sun is exalted in Aries, its sign of high honor, while Mars has no dignity in Leo. The Sun belongs to the day team and Mars to the night team under sect, the tradition's sorting of planets by day and night charts. A chart's own type, which depends on birth time, decides how much that split matters. Hellenistic sources define these configurations inside one chart, so comparing two people's signs this way is an extension this page makes. Read it as a structure, not an outcome.

Reviewer's notes
Aspects/aversion by sign (Ptolemy I.13, I.16), dignities, genders and modalities confirmed; the block already says it applies a one-chart doctrine to two people's signs as an extension, which is this page's choice and not an ancient claim.
