The Moon in Capricorn is in detriment, opposite its home of Cancer, and the tradition names detriment explicitly only late. The Sun in Leo is in domicile, the sign it rules. Capricorn is five signs from Leo, which Hellenistic astrologers call aversion: the signs share no aspect. Saturn, the planet that rules Capricorn, is in detriment in Leo, so the Moon's lord is itself out of dignity in the Sun's sign. With the Moon five signs ahead of the Sun, it stands roughly 120° to 180° ahead along the zodiac. That is roughly gibbous and nearing full, though sign distance is coarse. Capricorn is a feminine, cardinal earth sign, so the Moon's gender matches. Saturn belongs to the day team under sect, the tradition's sorting of planets by day and night. The tradition looks next to Saturn's sign, house and sect condition. Detriment describes standing in the scheme, not temperament.
A note on “detriment”: the early Hellenistic texts note a planet opposite its own sign without naming it. The term is defined only in late and medieval sources, and scholars disagree on whether the idea was implicit earlier.

Reviewer's notes
Sign-count configurations (Ptolemy I.13, I.16) and Moon-phase ranges (rechecked by arithmetic against the Sun in Leo and the lunar-phase angles) hold. Changed 'easiest' wording to Ptolemy's 'harmonious' where it appeared. Added a note that detriment is a late-named concept.
